Detroit Grit & Grind Mug: Made to Order
A Detroit-made mug that has character and purpose. Just like the person who made it and the city where it’s made. The clay is hand-thrown, shaped, glazed, fired, and finished all in Detroit for a Pingree Detroit mug collaboration with Detroit ceramicist Ricky Blanding.
Every mug is unique and shaped by hand with a hand signature from the artist on the bottom with the Pingree logo stamped into the clay. Each mug comes with a matching Corktown Coaster.

About the Artist: Ricky Blanding is a Detroit-based artist and ceramicist, Pingree street team member, and Founder of the non-profit Scrap Soils, working to bring composting to all of Michigan. He draws inspiration from how things function, "I look deeply into the qualities of clay, glaze, and other materials to make work that documents what I've learned in this medium. I believe my purpose is to bring fresh and revolutionary ideas to this world while inspiring people to see things in a different way. I love people and our ability to pivot and grow.” 50% of the cost of this mug goes directly towards supporting this local artist.
